No and not sure what his name is I am waiting for her to call me back to firm up a time to go pick him up.

Some start extremely young, others could take years.
Go into a post called "was I lucky I got a bird that would talk"
Sure this will answer many of your questions.

I still dont know if we are keeping the name yet the kids are still coming up with even more.

So glad to hear that he will be loved no matter what........ :D
Many new guardians, get birds, thinking, feeding them, cleaning the cage, and talking to them now and again, will be sufficient enough.
They are just like a small child, learning and discovering new words and sounds every day. :63:
