Baby's feet are looking a much darker pink than they normally do. She is a yellow sided green cheek so she has the pink feet but they look much darker than they normally do, what does this mean?

Is there anything else going on? Do they look sore? Is she acting normal otherwise? Do they feel warmer than usual to touch? Hows her poop and appetite?

then to count out obvious-did you get any new toys that may have dye coming off onto her feet?

Love your avatar btw. :)

I just got her a new pink wicker toy lol, and now that I think of it she had chewed off a pice earlier and put it into her waterdish and when I changed the water it was dyed a pinkish color. She must have hopped in the water wile it was pink. But everything else is normal, her poop is good, normal colored and sized. She is active and playing, her feet feel average temperature. And about my avatar, thanks so much, that is a European starling I hand raised from a featherless baby. She was so much fun, starlings have such curious and playful personalities, she was always in the mood to play and make everyone in the room laugh. Leela (the starling) also could talk incredibly well, she could pronounce words impecably and never hesitated to show anyone who would listen lol. I absoulutely loved her. I don't have the slightest clue why there not more popular pets, they have incredible personalities, beautiful feathering, they do need a special, diet but it is no harder to prepare than the diet of a lorikeets. Ugh I could go on and on about how great she was.

Wow I haven't seen you on in a while, I must have just missed you. Seems like you figured out what turned her feet pink.

Your flock sure seems to have grown quickly!! Last I knew you only had one gcc. How has her behavior been? Last I knew she was a biter and you were saying you wanted a cuddly bird. Hopefully that problem has been rectified.

Glad to hear the pink feets were just a dye job. lol

:) I need to get a new picture, she is just starting to get her stars. Our neighbor found her. They thought she belonged to the group that was in our roof. but they were long gone. Not sure where she came from. She had a respiratory infection and was just a little ragged bundle of dehydrated bones.

She had a serious will to live however. Her name is Zeke. She's our little velcro bird, she wants to be with us at all times. I didn't know anything about them till her. I've been reading over at talkingstarlings like crazy and emailed rehabbers. These guys are amazing little birds.

Yes, baby's biting has been gotten rid of, and she has become the cuddly playful bird I have always dreamed of having. As for cookie, I got him as a bird for me but he immediately bonded extremely strongly to my mom and wants absoulutely nothing to do with me. And Dezi, I got him as a rescue and he was completely untame and would scream anytime a person tried to get close to him, I have been working with trust training and bonding for around 6 months with Dezi and he actually just stepped up onto me for the first time today TWICE! I am soooo excited about that. And leela my starling is long gone now, I was originally going to keep her as a pet because she was absoulutely amazing in every aspect of the word, but I decided she would be much happier as a wild starling so I spent three months conditioning her for realease into the wild, I introduced her to a flock of wild starlings in a large outdoor aviary u till I knew she was ready for realease. And I haven't mentioned this anywhere else on the forums yet but I am expecting a new member of the family! It's a baby normal green cheek conure who should be ready to go home around August 6th, I've decided on the name Petri! I'm sorry for rambling lol
