Too many peas ?

Here's what I hope is a quick and hopefully simple question.

So I started giving Kermit frozen peas in her food this week. What I feed is what I have available, but this week's was a bit of strawberry and blueberries, broccoli, and a frozen mix of peas and carrots (no salt). I think she likes round-shaped food because she went nuts for the peas and blueberries, maayyybe nibbles on the broccoli, and ignores the carrots.

Today I noticed her poop does not have much liquid content. It was initially a greyish color, I freaked out, then realized that was the blueberries talking. Her poop returned to a dark-green color as of this evening, but still with little liquid. Have I been over-feeding the peas ? I intend to remove them from her diet for a bit to see if it improves, but I admit I wasn't expecting this result.

Am I correct in thinking peas are a legume ? I know overfeeding beans to birds can be bad for them, so perhaps this is a similar result...

I've also recently converted her (ish) to pellets. She still has a small amount of seed available, but I've seen her eat the pellets as well :)

Thanks for your advice :) :green2:

No. I remove them from the package, place in a bowl of water with the fresh foods, and let it soak with a small amount of Apple Cider Vinegar to clean for 5-10 minutes. By that time, the peas are dethawed. I drain, rinse once with clean water, drain again, then serve.

Interesting. So I think the water content has increased a bit in her droppings, but they're still a bit drier than I'm used to. I've offered her some baths yesterday and today just to make sure she's not dehydrated. I can tell it doesn't take as much effort for her to poop; yesterday it wasn't a strain or anything, but it was certainly some effort. The color is now a light green-yellow, which is within normal range I think, but I was expecting a more rust-colored dropping since she's started eating pellets instead of just seed o___o;

I think I am right in saying that peas are a vegetable. As with anything 'in moderation'. If she is eating mainly one thing, that isn't a balanced diet. Have you tried whizzing the broccoli in a processor and then coat the things she will eat? Every beakful with contain a little of it and it may just become accepted in time?

Try and keep an eye on her drinking habits, if she drinks at a regular time it will be easier.
