missing head feathers?

Iago seemed fine when I put him to bed last night but this morning he was missing some feathers by the top of his head...I noticed that my room was a little cold this morning. Would he maybe excessively scratch the top of his head because of this?

I don't think that excessive scratching is a response to cold (fluffing is) but I am no vet! He could maybe be starting a molt. If it seems like there are large patches with missing feathers, try to get a good look at the skin to see if it looks irritated or sore which might cause him to scratch at it. Is something touching his head in a funny way (like a bit of a toy) where he perches to sleep? You might also try to get him to have a bath tonight if its maybe just itchy or something. If it progresses or happens again, perhaps a visit to the vet is called for.
