Hello,

So I noticed black spots on my cockatoos nostrils about a week or 2 ago and I was wondering what could it be

Her droppings, eating, playing are all normal nothing really changed.

I hope these pictures are good enough, she really made me work for them.

Vets in my country aren't well equipped nor experienced with birds so I wanted to get your opinions first before trusting them with her..

There are several things that this could be; from food to preach rubbing stain on the simple side. However, you are owned by a Too and the feathers would just as often have the same coloration/stain. Since your photo's do not show that, this moves it to something that will likely require a Too expert or an Avian qualified Vet.

In the mean time watch closely how and what your Too is doing that may physically bring something to this area (selective rubbing as an example).

If the Too members do not begin chiming in shortly, consider seeing your Avail qualified Vet early next week.

Since no one else and especially a Too member has not responded, I would recommend that you read the Too forum for any like issues?

Sorry that you have not received more comments to your Thread.

Well, I can't speak for our 'too members, however, it IS entirely possible that
1) Our 'too members have never seen anything like this, or
2) The thread got lost/pushed back, and nobody saw it. :)

Never seen it....not really all that experienced....and not sure what the alarm is.

Ever rub coconut oil on the beak/beak area and feet?
