i was just on line placing an add , when i went to the bird section and found a bird hotel, and its not to far from me ,it has good rates, im going to check it out, i just may be able to go on a holiday, and she is an eckkie breeder.ill let you know what i think once i have a look, she sound very nice and seems to know what she is on about , on the phone. fingers crossed, all tho she was i little hesitant when i said i had 8 eckkies, as she has 6.lol

hmmmmmm, i hope she is good..... you could visit me, then stay with my flock whilst i have a holiday lol

so send mine to the hotel so i can come visit you ,so you can go on holidays while ill stay there and look after your birds, did i get that right. if so as much as i love you .NO

when you put it that way it just sounds wrong:54: i was thinking more along the lines that you have had birds in your life for so long now, that you would feel comfortable not having them around. So if you were to come up here, you could enjoy our pristine beaches and glorious all year summer, have free accomodation at my place. then whilst you were here i could go on a holiday and you could enjoy the company of the 3 amigos along with my little slice of paradise. Consider like a house swap, except im not going to ur place. :21:

8 Eckkies, wow, hands full much?

My only concern would be quarantine issues. With other boarding places, they require dogs, cats, rabbits etc, to be vaccinated before they'll take them on to prevent the spread of infection... but with birds we can't do that so I'd be a little concerned.

I'm considering boarding my birds but I want to find somewhere I consider 'safe'. Such as somewhere that has some form of quarantine or something, or the other birds also being health checked prior to going into boarding with them.

No 100% safety with it, but better than just lobbing a bunch of birds together at least. Maybe that's something you might ask about?
