Rosie is now 9 months old. I brought her home in August and she was molting on her head a neck, completely covered in pin feathers. There are still a few, but that seems to have calmed down.
In the last week or so her back, stomach and wings are going crazy, completely covered. She lost her longest tail feather a few days ago and I can see feathers coming in there as well. I am just wondering how long this will go on for? I feel so badly for her b/c she is uncomfortable.
I shower her regularly and bring her in the bathroom when I shower for steam a few times a week. I also apply Aloe after she showers. I try to help with the casings as much as she will allow. Jerseywendy recommended palm oil, which I am currently on the hunt for.
Any information &/or suggestions would be welcomed. Rosie is my first bird so I am in the dark on this.
