My baby is growing up so fast! She is the most loving pet i have ever had. We spend hours together just snuggling in bed.
she is still not a very vocal bird but has started to scream in the mornings.

i love her so much. I would do anything to bring her happiness. I truly view her as my daughter!

Here is a few pics

She is definitely the sweetest girl ever! Even in moments of stress or anger she never tries to bite me. She wants to be wherever i am and will fly all over the house to find me.
I love that she does that and shows that interest in being with me. She is an amazing bird and i can't believe how lucky i am to have her:)

Kali is equally happy and blessed to have YOU as a parront. ;)

It just seems like yesterday when you were anxiously awaiting her arrival - I bet that seems like ages ago for you now, right?

I'm SO happy for you both! She is a gorgeous girl, that's for sure. :D

Thanks everyone, Kali loves compliments:)
Kali has been a great first bird and i am glad that i chose to go straight to owning a macaw, after i gained experience with them. I remember being pressured to get bird species i did not want and all of the insanity in the process leading up to getting her.
I do not regret anything and now i have my perfect macaw. I have flight trained her and will now fly up to 30 feet!!!! (On the flight harness) and will return on command. I feel bad she won't be able to get out this winter.

I am considering getting another macaw or an african grey. Im just not sure if Kali will be too happy about that
:p

I have said it for years. I HATE the "starter bird" concept...

Learn about the species you want, and get that one.

Macaws are amazingly like human toddlers aren't they?! And when that pair bond thing kicks in, WOW! Just amazingly loving, and surprisingly gentle and playful.

Yeah, I would definitely see how she does around other birds before even considering bringing another one in. They can be very jealous... Or they can love having a buddy bird around. You never know.

My two big macs have kind of a sibling rivalry thing going. They are both bonded to me.
