Hi everyone! I would just like to introduce you to myself and my new baby boy, Pohi. My name is Erica and I am a 22 year old college student in North Carolina. I have owned many birds over the last several years, however after having to move to Kentucky for a year in 2008, I had to sadly part with my beloved cockatiels (although they are on permanent birdie vacation now!). I decided I was ready for another bird and after months of research, chose the IRN for my home. I found a breeder in north carolina, and although grey was my last choice for color (there are so many vibrant shades!), this little boy stuck his beak right out of the cage while all of the others huddled in the back and I knew he was mine. He is 4 months old, and has only been a part of my family for a little over a week, however is settled right in and went from terrified of me and my hands to loving every moment with me. I am currently working him to a more balanced diet as his breeder was more of a peanut/sunflower fan, and I am big on Pellets first, fresh veges/fruits, and a little seed... but that will come in time. Thanks for checking us out and I hope to get to know everyone soon!

A big welcome to you and Pohi! :) You will love it here.

looks like this is a case of 'bird chooses owner' here lol - always the best way to go;). I'm glad things are going so well, I love the pictures, Pohi looks very happy and healthy.

Welcome! congrats on your new Fid.
i love IRNS!!! they are my favorites! i had a pair of grey ones too, its was my least favorite color too but the pair of blues were much much noisier so i went with the quiter pair of greys. they were breeders and not hand tame and i enjoyed the time they spent here, but i really wanted a young hand tame one so the breeders went to a new home. someday i may get lucky and find one just for me, but i have my Sennie now and i am very happy with her.
your little guy looks great, they love to try new foods! you'll have a lot of fun with him.

What a gorgious little guy you have there! Nothing wrong with grey, it's a wonderful colour, ask any AG owner!

Looks like you were the chosen one, lucky you ;-)
