Just took a blue and gold macaw from. Parrot rescue. Sweet bird it seems, a feather plucker, look forward to seeing what success stories there might be here for this issue.
Welcome!
Thank you for rescuing this bird.
Oh, yes, you'll find lots of advice and support here.
Many rescuers, on fact!
Meanwhile, the SEARCH tab above is great for discovering stuff to read...
Welcome to the forums, thanks for joining!! Much respect for adopting a rescue plucker.
Once your bird acclimates and feels comfortable, you may be able to employ various techniques to help. Are the affected areas completely missing feathers, or is it an early case of plucking?
Hello and welcome! It's great that you chose to rescue. Can't wait to see pics! I totally agree with Scott above, allow your new addition to settle in to its new environment before you try anything to help the feather plucking issue.

A warm welcome to you and your newly rescued macaw! Thank you for taking on the challenge and opportunity! Pluckers pluck for a variety of reasons, for most parrots it's a hard habit to break particularly during stressful circumstances. Try not to expect too much too soon, instead focus on making your new addition as comfortable, healthy and happy as possible. Best of luck, please share the progress.
