Parrots
My birds: Skyler/Sky, violet Indian Ringneck. Mother's birds: Norman, African Grey and Mildred, Blue Crowned Conure.
So, as some of you might know, I was buying a Blue Fronted Amazon, so I have been doing a lot of thinking and research about them since I have always wanted a parrot larger than a Green Cheek Conure, but I don't think a 'zon is what I'm looking for. (Sorry 'zon people).

I have been looking for a good Indian Ringneck breeder for a long time now and I have finally found one who has babies in the nest.

I have always loved Ringnecks and Alexandrines and I know how important it is to choose the right bird, since they do live such a long time.

I'm hoping for a blue male and the breeder thinks they will be the blue mutation like their parents. (Parents might be split, so there might be some surprise colours).

I will keep you posted and I will be sure to include lots of photos when I bring him/her home.

Sorry for not updating sooner.

I don't know if this thread is in the right place. :54:

You are 100% correct that there should never be a rush to pick the right bird. They are LONG-TERM to LIFETIME commitments. You want to be sure you feel comfortable with your new baby. Obviously, I'm quite fond of zons myself, but they definitely aren't for everyone. They are peculiar and stubborn birds ;)

IRNs are gorgeous birds, especially their with their tails being so long and those stunning red beaks. Keep us posted on your new baby! I loo forward to seeing him or her when you bring it home:)
