Dallas and Tsukasa (Cockatiels)
Mango and Munchlax (Peach Faced Lovebirds)
So, I went in to check on the lovebirds while they were sleeping, as I had heard a noise (it was the television, silly me!) but when I did, I was a little shocked to not see Munch in her normal sleeping spot. I looked on all the perches, I couldn't find her. So I was starting to worry that somehow she managed to escape her cage (she had escaped an old cage in the past by opening the sliding door, she had one of them finch cages) but her door was securely latched shut...
Normally, she sleeps like this all snuggled under her blanket:
But tonight, it was empty.
I took another look around the cage and noticed something odd. A bulge under her fleece covered ledge....
JUST where was she??
IN the fleece cover!
Here is the adorable trouble maker after I got her out of her hidey spot...
Needless to say, once she's found her way in once, she will find it again, so I removed it before she starts making it into a nest. Now she just has a regular cage-bar type ledge to hold up her water bowl lol
She has yet to stop surprising me lol
