I know that out birds can drive us crazy. However, it sounds like your Amazon may be in the throws of sexual maturity. Perhaps they are calling for another mate. Also, is there enough stimulation for the bird such as foraging toys and "flock" interaction. Some of their behavior can be curbed. Perhaps you could go into a little more detail and let us know what the bird is doing and when it does it. I know he may not want to leave, but somehow is trying to tell you something and you guys have not connected yet. If I can be of any further help, please let me know. Good luck to you AND your bird.

Please do not adopt out your bird without checking the prospective adopter's avian vet and personal references and ask for pictures of their birds and the room where they are kept. Lots of collectors and hoarders out there who would be very happy to take in yet another free bird.
