Hello, We recently got a sun conure we name Phoenix. Well when we brought Phoenix and he been with us for about 2 weeks. Being that we are new conure owners I have a question. Phoenix would come to us when we would tell him to step up but now it difficult to get him to step up also what does baby begging behavior mean? Please help!

More likely your bird was not fully weaned and you may need to help with feeding a baby bird formula. How old was your bird when you purchased s/he?
Several possibilities:
- Parrot was not fully weaned when purchased from the breeder /reseller
- Parrot is regressing and as a result is begging to be fed
You may view this as stepping back, but it happens and is worth doing for a few weeks using an eyedropper and warm /cool formula mix.
