Have your vet do a DNA on it when you go for the first vet visit. The breeder Socrates seduced me at offered it so I poaid the $45 bucks to find out he was a he.

It's so hard to tell, until about 15 years later and you see your bird ripping up his nesting place. If he hasn't had any eggs, it's a boy. But I'm presuming you're dealing with a minor parrot. The only way is to get them sexed by blood drawn.
