Breeding Question and HELP!

We have 2 lovebirds that are about 18 months old. They are DNA'd as male and female not related.

Abouth 5 months ago 5 eggs were laid and none were fertile. After about 14 days form when egg #5 should have hatched we slowly removed the unhatched eggs.

After waiting 3 months we put the nest box back in the cage and 5 more eggs were laid almost right away.

One egg was thrown out of the next box before hatching (don't ask me how they did it, but they did). It got cracked and there was a partially formed baby in the egg.

Then one hatched and was dead upon discovery.

After wating for the hatch date of egg #5 plus 14 days we began to remove the eggs. One more was unfertilized. One had a very partially developed baby. And the last one had a nearly fully developed baby in it. All of the eggs were dry on the inside and clearly "dead".

The female was in the nest box continuosly except to eat.

We feed Zupreem daily and Zupreem fruit. We try to feed fresh fruit, but they will hardly eat it.

The cage is large and is in the activity room of the house so there are people around alot of the time with the birds. They don't seem to mind and we don't bother them directly when the nest box was there.

Any advice for successful hatching?

Thank you.

It would be more successful if they have a area where there's not a lot of activity. I also hope you have read and learn about how to care for young chicks if you have to. Have you checked the humidity level in your home???? If it's on the dryer side you can install a humidifier within the room they're in or what you can do is mist the eggs daily with a water bottle. They dried out and die due to too dry of a condition. You still have much to learn before proceeding.
