She's gone. I can't believe it. She got worse so quickly. She was doing OK and made it through the first night I thought for sure with the vet's help she'd pull through.
And you don't have any other birds right? New cage, toys, etc? If that's the case then it's not hard to know where the disease came from really....I'm very sorry to hear about her passing.....
Her detailed blood tests won't even be back until tomorrow. Everything I got for them was brand new. I had so much time to wait for them all I did was study their needs and dangers. My poor Jack. I wonder how he'll deal without her. He'll be at the vet as soon as she can see him.
I am so, so very sorry for your loss. I have very recently lost an ekkie myself, and I know you must feel inconsolable right now.
I'll keep you and Jack both in my prayers. I'm hoping he doesn't have it as well, but if he does at least he's not yet showing signs. Could be he'd get treatment early enough to make all the difference.
Just be sure to sanitize everything as soon as possible. And again, my deepest condolences.

Baby birds are very fragile things, and especially susceptible to viruses... they go downhill very quickly, sometimes even with prompt vet attention, which she got...
I'm so very sorry to hear about her I hope that your boy is okay and that you can find comfort in each others' company during this very difficult time.
