Is this the nictitating membrane??

Hey all, I was once again taking pictures of my Franklin and when looking at this picture I thought...whoa..not really a lid what is it? I'm guessing it's the nicititating membrane? I've never seen it with my naked eye, must blink really really fast!

Its a Canon T3...their lowest end DSLR...but I'm thrilled to pieces with it so far!
