There is nothing good to say other than at least it got warm again today and the snow melted. I sure hope she gets him back and I'll be thinking of her.
I put up flyers for my greencheek when I lost him.Its so hard to find a lost bird.I also advertised for him on the pets section of Craigslist. You might suggest that to her.
I emailed it to the 2 people I know in Columbus and asked them to spread it around to family and friends. Chances are he won't end up all the way up near me, more than 100 miles, but of course I'll keep my eye out. I do put the birds leftover pellets outside for the wild birds. But, thus far I haven't had any parrots show up to eat them.
Update! He has been found! He was taken inside by a child 1 day ago & given to a neighbor. When she got him, she took him to Petland to be clipped. The Petshop employee called her & put her in touch w/the lady. She's picking him up tonight.
If you loose your baby, don't give up. He was outside for 3 days, in 15 deg temps & survived. Thanks everyone for keeping a eye out!
The most horrible thing has happened. She went to the house to pick him up & he was dead in the cage. The lady who had him had been at work. She wasn't a bird person & didnt realize he was sick. At least she has some closure & he got to spend his last night indoors & warm.
