Minimum cage requirements are tiny!

I was reading about cage sizes and decided to measure out what the minimum conure cage (24x24x24) would actually be. And it is tiny! I can't imagine forcing my gcc to be in that small of a space for most of her life? Shouldn't the minimum be a minimum for a good quality of life? My cage is 36x48x60

I KNOW RIGHT!! I can't imagine it either. They really should have higher legal requirements.

Agree. My GCC has a HUGE cage but she loves it.

They should have ANY legal requirements! People can legally keep a budgie in just about anything! Its so sad. 😟
