Personally, I only allow egg once every month. Twice, if they're going through a particularly hard molt. Too much risk of arteriosclerosis, otherwise.

And Chris, I'm glad he's enjoying your fresh chop! Hopefully it just gets easier from here.

Great information...I always learn something new! I'm curious if any of you use a food processor or if you chop by hand. Thus far, I'm doing all the chopping by hand...seems there might be an easier, more efficient way....:22:

Even with my large flock I do it by hand, but that's just because I hate cleaning the food processor! I used it when I was doing huge batches and freezing, but I can't force myself to clean it every couple of days.
