[Peach+me]

Hello all!

I am a first time conure and bird mom.
I’ve always desired a bird and have loved conures. So I did it. I got a beautiful Sun cheek conure.

I’m told he is now about 3 months old. He’s we trained to get into my hand and loves coming out for visits. I’m so happy with this progress we have made so far!

He/she (unknown) is not very vocal. Is this because he is young? I’m not arguing as some people say these guys can be loud. Just wondering if I’m missing something.

Also wondering at what age do you start training tricks and such.

One more question because I can’t find much about it or even when I watch videos I see nothing of the sort on cages; the breeder told me I should get a UVB light for the bird to ensure the proper ‘sun’. But I’ve not seen one set up with this so I’m a little confused there.

I’ll attach a picture of him too because why not!

Peach is so cute!! I love his colors. I started training my GCC shortly after she came home at 3-4 months old or so. They typically do get more vocal as they settle in and grow.
