Parakeet died today

Hi everyone;
I haven't posted in here before.
My 7 yr old female parakeet died this morning.:17:
I had her since she was weaned. She moved across
country with me 6 years ago.
Up until last summer, she never laid an egg and then
all of a sudden started. I can't tell you how many eggs
she laid just this year. She had a mate, but none of the
eggs were any good. She tried real hard to hatch her eggs.
I am thinking that her age and laying so many eggs just
wore her little body down.
Now my little boy bird is calling for her. So sad.:02:

I am so sorry for your loss. I didnt realize what a hold these lil guys have on our hearts till I lost one. Very hard. I hope your heart heals sooner rather than later. Welcome to the forum, im sorry its under these circumstances.

I'm so sorry , I have a parakeet 2 actually I know how much people love there parakeets. Even tho they are small they are big in our hearts:21:

Oh I'm so very sorry for your loss. It doesn't matter how big they are, what matters is the big hole they leave in our hearts when they leave us.
