Mexican red headed parrot
I have a 8year old mexican red headed parrot who started limping the day before yesterday. I do not know what is going on with him. He jumped from his perch wich was 7ft the night before he started limping. I am brand new to owning a bird. I've had him only since valentines day and love him more than life itself I need the name of a good exotic bird vet in Los angeles. How long should I wait to take him. Please help. I didnt notice him limping till the next morning after his fallhttp://www.parrotforums.com/images/parrots/rainbow1.gif

you shouldn't wait, take him asap. He could be seriously injured, or it could be no big deal, but waiting could lead to a big problem. Good luck.

I use Conejo Valley Animal Hospital, in Thousand Oaks. I like them because they are open 24/7. It's only an extra $25 after 6 or 7pm (emergency hours), every day. They have some avian spe******ts, and always have somebody on staff who at least treats birds.

Keep us updated!!
