It's not the size of the bird, it is the size of the heart. In the horse world we say a brave, honest horse has a lot of heart or a big heart. And you have a big heart to be honest enough to realize what you truly want and admit it.

How come Riley is getting new feathers now? Do Cockatiels start molting this young? She's a whiteface right? That's my favorite tiel color IMO the males are especially striking in this mutation.

A couple weeks before I brought her home she had a bad night fright and released her tail feathers. So since feathers were released it stimulates to folicles to grow new ones. Cockatiels typically have their first molts at 6 months. Yes she is a whiteface so the only visual cues are the tail feathers. My favorite mutation is the heavy pied or a whitefaced pied.
