So I've been texting with Collene this morning (Cloud and Lemon's owner), and she's told me a bit more info on why she's rehoming them...

Apparently Cloud is hers, but Lemon was her ex's and she ended up with him anyways...she's living with her sister and her sister's cat sneaks into her room and messes with the birds and knocks the cage over she also has an 8 week old puppy and she just found out he has a heart defect, so she's got a lot going on and felt that Cloud and Lemon deserve a better home. She said she's glad they're going to a good home....little does she know they'll be spoiled rotten!!! Hahaha

Here's another picture she sent me of Cloud

She said she's been trying to get Cloud to talk but hasn't had any success yet... And they don't like to be separated. If one gets taken out the other will "freak out" until they're back together. And their wings are clipped.

Thank you for confirming!! Just curious- how did you tell he's male for sure? His cere looks bluish in the first pic but not very blue at all in the second....

it's just the lighting Shirre....I also noticed Cloud is banded, she looks really young to me, the bars across her head are right down to her cere, which indicates she is young....is Lemon banded?

do you know if they are siblings?

Yes- I saw cloud has a band, I'm not sure if lemon has a band- but I'll have them removed when they go for check ups.

I'm not sure if they're siblings- they both came from petco

I did notice her bars- I've read that before...if their bars are like that then they're young- which makes sense because Quigley is about 2.5 yrs old and her bars have slowly "receded"

She did tell me they're young- less than a year old.

Hope you get the budgies. I have five. All of mine are un-tamed little demons... one of my females drew blood when she bit me. Here's a link on sexing budgies, the cere color method varies from mutation to mutation. From the pics on the first page it looks like a Dominant Pied and a Lutino.

Ok, after a nail-biting drive to and from to get these lil guys I finally made it home! I had to be careful of icy roads and on the way home as soon as the sun went down the fog swallowed up everything...visibility was really bad, not too mention driving a huge suv with really sloppy/loose steering

This is our road, I stopped to take a picture because the fog was so dense

They are beautiful! Glad you all got home safe! Its very dangerous out there! I agree, they do need some more toys and maybe some fun perches too! The yellow one looks like a cinnamon yellow! He's so handsome! And the blue one is gorges to! That's a beautiful blue!

It's interesting because there's two of them in that cage, and Quigley's all alone in her cage that's a bit bigger!

I agree- they need new perches and toys. I just gave them fresh food and water and their dishes were actually being used backwards lol

They're currently snuggled together and really quiet...lemon is nibbling on cloud's head LOL

Hubby hasn't seen them yet but he's been excited all day
