Hello, I have a 19 yr old Greenwinged Macaw, Brixley. He has never had any health problems until two weeks ago. He was lethargic and vomiting; vet did gram stain; advised he had a bacterial infection. Took 4 days of Baytril (after first day seemed to back to his old self). After the 4th day he became extremely sleepy. He now continues to regurgitate his food (not for a good reason), he is unable to keep his head tucked backwards as it falls over. He tried to sleep with his head resting forward. He stopped eating, we are force feeding. Last couple of days he picks at a bit of food, but he has lost some weight. Vets have done blood work and are unable to find anything....they have no answers. We are desperate; started him on a macrodiet yesterday with all raw foods.
Any ideas?
Thanks
