Not sure how familiar everyone is with Guardians of Ga'hoole but there's an old screech owl in the movie/book series whose name is Lyze of Kiel, which is where we got Lyze's name. Looking at this pic I'd say naming him after a grumpy old owl was appropriate!

P.S he's not really grumpy lol. Daddy gave him head scritches so now he's grinding his beak and balancing on one foot. Happy tiel!

I have the toy for my tiel. She doesnt seem to mess with it. I think she prefers natural toys. Great pics. He's a beautiful bird.
