Yellow Head

Hello fellow Poi lovers!

I had a question for Meyers Parrot owners. At what age did your Meyers head turn yellow? My little girl is 7 months old and still has a head full of grey feathers. Thank you for your help.

I can't really remember when Luna got her yellows, but definitely older than 7 months! Somewhere between 1 and 2 years old?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Meyers never have yellow heads. They have yellow shoulders right? Correction, I just realized you were talking about forehead area.

Yeah, and it does vary between subspecies (though many breeders have muddled the subspecies anyway)

Some subspecies don't have any yellow up there.

Thank you for the replies everyone. When she is in direct sunlight I can kind of see a bit of yellow poking through(all tho it could be my imagination lol.) Only time will tell.
