Hello everyone,

I got a 2 month old Baby Jandaya conure yesterday.
I have been told to feed her 5ml every 8 hrs. Which I have been doing since I got her,
but for some reason she's always hungry. I am afraid that I'm not feeding her enough, she's always bobbing her head and trying to suck on my finger. Is that normal? Do I need to feed her more than 5ml of the mixture? If so how much? Can I feed her a little bit of fruit in between? She seems to enjoy it, even tho she doesn't know how to pick it up yet.
I never hand fed a baby parrot before so I would be very thankful if anyone could help me and give me as much information as possible. I don't want my baby to go hungry.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Welcome to you and your Jenday! You appear to have an unweaned baby, did breeder/seller advise you how and when to transition to solid foods? Please read linked thread written by one of our breeder members for superb guidance: http://www.parrotforums.com/breeding-raising-parrots/74363-so-you-bought-unweaned-baby.html

At this phase you can begin introducing soft vegetables and fruits between hand feedings. Many folks adhere to "abundance weaning" theory, essentially continuing offering formula until your bird consistently refuses.
