Hi, my peach faced lovebird is behaving kind of weird.
This morning he woke me up as usual, chirping, but then i realized that he did not want to drink or eat anything. He was breathing a bit heavy and he pooped more watery then normal. At this point i would go to the vet, but sadly we do not have many vets here in Sweden and i would have to go a long way to find one.
He is still up and chirping. being active like normal and his feathers are not fluffed (in the writing moment he breathes normally too), but i'm worried that he might have some bad bacteria.

I would like to ask if anyone here knows any advice that i can do on my own to help the little fella out.

sometimes we tend to overlook the subtle symptoms our birds are telling us.

one minute they look 'not right', then the next they appear normal.

watch him closely, you may have to seek out a vet soon.

lovebirds are quite hardy, it could be bacterial which is a common problem with most birds, but without a diagnosis, we are just guessing. there is not much you can do, other than finding a vet.

You have a specialized clinic less than 30 minutes drive from you depending on where in Lund you live..

Fågelkliniken i Skåne AB - Hem

Google my friend google... ;) I know when we get nervous we don't think clearly, but these guys comes with great recommendations.
