I was away for the past 3.5 days. Drove over 2,000 miles in that time. My oldest son graduated from Basic Training in Georgia, and we drove down there to watch him graduate. :)

We got home last night around 3AM, and this morning Mike couldn't wait to greet the birdies. :D

...and what a welcome it was....

Thank you, Sandy. :D
Yes, I am happy beyond words...I can't stop hugging him...and the tears of joy keep rolling down my face. :o Totally overwhelmed here, and quite tired, too. :)

Congrats Wendy, you've done such a good job, raising kids and fids. Hope you have a great holiday.

Wonderful pictures. Thank you for sharing. Brought a smile to my face. Happy holidays:)

Great pics!!!

Great pics of your son and fids. Tell your son "thank you" for joining the military. It's always a scary time when our children join but it also quite an honor, at least that's how I felt when my son graduated. Is Hunter his favorite?

There's a small town on the side of the interstate in Georgia that is very scary....We had to stop to use the restrooms and it was down right disgusting...lol....You even feel nasty to just walk in there and the people there looks scary too, reminds us of those horror movies....lol....

Congrats by the way!!!! :)

I am glad you had a safe journey and welcome back :)

Thanks aliray. :) I seem to be unable to stop smiling for the past 2 days. :) And Happy Holidays to you and your loves ones, too.

Congrats! What a welcome

Thanks so much! Oh yes, the welcome was definitely unforgettable. I am glad the dogs got to welcome him when we first arrived last night. (Even though they knocked him flat on his butt )

Thank YOU, Sherry. I will tell him. :) VERY scary time to be in the service, indeed. I don't even want to think about where he might be down the road. He has to be back at Fort Benning Jan 4th and will start Officer Training School then.

He loves ALL the birds, but yes, both my boys are VERY fond of Hunter...and vice versa. :D

Luckily we didn't encounter any "scary" towns. As a matter of fact, we LOVE the south. People are SO much friendlier there and so much more laid back.

And thank you!

Thanks a million, Wendy. :)

Right about now I wish I could stop time. Can't and won't think about his next departure, which will be even harder and longer. :(

The journey was LOOOONG, I don't want to sit in a car for quite a while, I promise. ;)

And thanks again!!!....and again.....yup, Hunter's in love with my "men". :D And I was SO surprised that Niko stepped right up to him, without any hesitation - and he didn't even nip him. :54:
