I know I'm new here, but... in my experience and knowledge, it is never recommended that you house any bird with another unless they are a bonded breeding pair. You never know what can happen while you're not home, or heck, even while you're there watching. Things can happen in the blink of an eye!
And as has already been touched on, there's the quarantine period and slow introduction. If you want them near each other, place their cages side-by-side, as has already been suggested. But I wouldn't risk putting two non-bonded breeding birds together, even if they're the same species of bird (such as 2 different types of Conures, 2 different types of Cockatoo, while both being a Conure or Too).
