My name is Angela, Im from Long Island NY. I am a Vet Tech and have fostered alot of different birds for our local parrot rescue, however I have never owned a bird of my own. I am very very excited/nervous that Im getting my first bird on Saturday, a 7 month old Alex. I have a cage all set up its 24x24 by 36 actual cage space (is this big enough) cage also has big playtop, have bought tons of toys for chewing/play. I have never had an Alex thru foster and would like any input you can share. Also, what you feel is best food for them aside from fresh fruits and veggies. Thank you so much for your time.
