Merlin a Red Crowned Amazon
There are alot of amazon owners on the forum now & I would love to see everyones birdie.

I'll start, Merlin 5 year old Red Crowned Amazon, aka Green Cheeked Amazon, Mexican Red Head Amazon. He is fully flighted & a great talker. His feathers are kind of molty right now, normally is feathers are beautiful. :green1:

My wife and I have many Amazons,Some of them for a very long time,This is a pair of Orange Wing Breeders that are also pets.Rod and Reel are very happy alone in their flight cage outside with the "Flock" but love to interact with me,i handle them most days at feeding/cleaning time when they don't have eggs/chicks, actually pretty rare to handle breeder zons.Of course they are quick to wake everyone else up when they see me having coffee on the porch early in the AM,worse than a rooster,LOL.

Haha. I know how rare it is!!! Lol.
My exs dad breeds amazons macaws and some conures.
I gave him my white fronted pair because my tiels were stolen in the next door aviary. Any how they were real cool. I could hold princess the hen. And when I held her, gizmo whould come too. Only when his gf was there though
pretty OW. I an having one of them in near future as well :)

This is SonnyBobo.. hes approx. 4 years old and I've have him for 6 months. Its slow going with him but he is a sweetie..

He wants to be a loveball, but his previous 'owner' was trying to force breed him so there's some major trust issues..

All and all he's an awesome bird and a lifer for me..

Richard those Orange Wings are gorgeous, it's hard to imagine that they are breeders. Man you take such great care of your birds. Your right, most breeders won't allow any touching hahahaha.

Great picture, they look luck such personable birds. And your "worse than a rooster" made me grin! ;) All it takes is one bird "ratting you out" ... and the day is no longer your own! :D

My camera thingy isn't working right now but Precious is behind me watching me read the threads. We were having a dance contest today. lol.

Here is my little Chili Pepper. Chili was 1 year old in May.

Since these were taken he has started getting a lot more yellow on his face and shoulders.

It looks as though you have a whole room dedicated to him. His own little playroom. Can we see some more pics of his little playground?

All of the Amazons are beautiful.. I have a friend that has a yellow nape she raised from an egg... Sugar is 30 years old this year... they don't work with her much now so she is kind of aggressive... I took care of her at their home this year when they went on vacation and let her out of her cage and hand fed her apples and carrots.... then I told her Sugar back in the cage and wha la.. she went into her cage with no issue..
I told Rich and Janice that I let Sugar out and they both said bet it took an hour to get her back in... said nope she went in when I told her... LOL... told them I will take her..

I just posted Junie's pic in the newcomer's thread but here's one I just took with the computer. I'll get a better one when it's light out. I think he's 3 and we got him from my father in law who was NOT a proper owner and he came to us with a lot of social and health issues. He needs his nails clipped I know.

Heh heh, River has been working on my wireless mouse too! The rubber part of the wheel has little conure size chunks missing out of it!
