Hey, wanted to wait until I got my bird to post my introduction, and now that I'm finally the proud owner of a tiel, I'd say it's about time to write one up. First off, about me:
I'm a 16 year old girl who bums off my parents ( just kidding, I live 45 minutes out of the city, and they haven't taken me to get my permit yet). I have a great boyfriend,'who I won't say much of as I hate people who ramble on and on about theirs. I had wanted a bird for my entire life after seeing the movie paulley at the age of 3. Of course after that became the lifelong hobby of finding hurt animals and trying to save them, something that annoyed my father, and made my mom proud. My hobbies include AFJROTC ( my home away from home), rifle team practice (tossing around 10lb guns with the guys), watching tv, procrastinating, shopping, and eating. Even though I might sound like a total porker with one of my hobbies being eating and the other throwing around rifles, I'm actually a severely skinny athletic person with the need to belong somewhere and something to believe in.

Now about my new cockatiel. I just got the little Tiel today, and she's about a month or two old. She doesent seem to likeme much yet, and seems to love to hiss and bite, but it's kinda cute. I'm hoping he/ she will bond with me pretty quickly, she's already drawn a bead of blood and I'm hoping she doesent like the taste too much ( fingers crossed). She truely is beautiful prettier than any pictures could show, even though my cameras blacked-out-dead-needs-to-be-repaired, anyway. She just sits there right now, watching me with her cone up. I think she's suspicious of me. The woman had said she wasn't really hand tamed, so I guess it's cool. Just wish her wings were clipped so it was easier for her to be caught back. She has no name yet, though I'm thinking Nearo ( my personal OC name), or cheerio. Might think of new ones later. She sure is cute though.

AFJROTC? Nice I use to be in NJROTC but dropped as classes took up to much of my time, and you beat me on the rifles as everytime I picked the thing up I'd smash my thumb in!

But welcome and I'm glad the bird is so great ! From what I know no bird has come to like the taste of human blood though lol.

Anyways welcome to the forum! I might throw up another one of these to introduce my baby bird when I get them !

I was personally thinking of Burja (Means witch in spanish ) for mine myself but like you I am in no luck of a set name, what the bird personality? of have you yet to figure that one out?

Haha I smash my thumb alot too. We all do though so we suffer in silence and laugh whenever anyone else gets hurt... We're horrible people huh? And no clue what his personality is yet. He's just being snippy eight now. Little piggy though... Keeps eating and eating. He is a skinny little thing though. Luckily I was able to let him fly around till he got tired and he came right to my hand. I think I'm getting some trust here. Might try it again if he ever stops eating.

Magnum (Yeah, so this is my parrot Magnum. *whips out cockatiel of DOOM*)
Renfield (since he/she seems to like blood)

My method of naming anything is the first thing I see that happen to be a interesting word that will be the name(Don't worry people, no one ever lets my names stick )

Haha cute names. I think I'm prolly gonna work on one for a while though, make it personal or something though magnum is actually creeping close to my idea of Derek zoolander. His crest looks like dereks hair. Me and mum were talking about blue steel and magnum.

Found a name. Her name is Lilly, and for a new update, she likes to eat A LOT and picks up things quickly. She already clicks her beak when I make kissing noises as if to repeat it, and recently she started whistling the winning tune on angry birds (I play it alot around her).
I've also become her territory. When Aaron, my boyfriend, hugged me I. Front of her, she puffed up and made mad noises. I thought she was going to attack at one point, had to put her back in her cage with a blanket over it. It was super cute
