Maddox is a green cheek conure
Hey! It’s super hazy where I am in CT due to the fires in Canada, and I’m starting to think about Maddox. I have all of the windows in the house closed and the fans off but still can’t help but to worry about his sensitive bird lungs. Any other measures I should take and how are you all managing this?

I thought about the same thing. Gus and his brother aren't home yet, but the skies and the air here are terrible. I would love to hear thoughts.

get a semi-decent hepa air purifier. Those have been a blessing in my house.

I was going to say get an AP, too, but it seems I've Been beaten to it, LOL! Also a fan to blow air away from the cage(s) could help?

A few years back we had horrible fire smoke clog up the air for over a week.

First and third are both taken at noon. Middle pic is the day it started blowing in.
I was in a 50 year old apt. All I could do is keep it closed up as much as possible and use Wet towels to block any air cracks.
Phoenix and my two Parakeets made it thru just fine.

I have a couple air purifiers so I'm not too worried. I HAVE been thinking about this a lot for the past couple days though.

I'm in NYC..worst air quality on the planet right now! I was always hesitant about using an air purifier..(because of "bird safe" concerns) until a fellow bird owner recommended a Honeywell. Picked this baby up on Amazon!
