Baby lovebird

You can buy veggies in a bag frozen at the supermarket.. Then you thaw them so there not frozen anymore, then feed them to him.

sorry, I should have been clearer, you don't feed them while its still frozen, you just get frozen veggies and then let them thaw until they are room temp. Raw food is always better nutritionally speaking but most babies can't eat hard raw veggies so we start everyone on cooked stuff since its softer. There really isn't any way to make him drink water, just leave a dish in there for him and he will start drinking it in his own time.

That is a good question...remember he's just a baby and he's just staying where he feels most comfortable.all of a sudden his familiar surroundings have changed and is unsure of what's going on. If his dropping are formed, he's not puffy or looking like he's ill, then I would just keep an eye on him.
If he is 4-5 weeks he should be fed every 4-6 hours.....3 hours is not enough time for his crop to empty. After you make the formula and heat it to the appropriate temp, fill the syringe and keep it in a measuring cup filled with hot hot water. Formula cools down in seconds so it's very important to keep it at the appropriate temp.Breeders and pet owners that hand feed will have different techniques, however will not deviate from the temp, the angle of the syringe, how fast to feed, and the quantity. Some birds will just gulp the food down, other like to wait between each mouthful. Always stay with the same formula and never substitue. Even the angle of the syringe is very important or you can asphyxiate your bird.
Putting millet in his cage will begin the process of learning how to eat on his own. small dishes of pellets/seed and fresh water should be placed in the cage as well. once he is eating pellets/seed consistently, you can introduce fruits and veggies. you could place a small blanket or towel over the back part of the cage so he feels more protected until he gets accustomed to his new surroundings.

Thank you all :) I'll try some fresh veggies, especialy not bought on the supermarket (I'm afraid of pesticides). He doesn't want to eat throw the syringe anymore, and he started drinking water today in the morning o.o wow progresses are like HUGE. He sings like a crazy and no longer stay in his nest, he runs around screaming to everyone until someone gives him attention :P one more question he's now pulling out his "baby feathers", this is normal right?

Is he pulling them out or they are just coming out by themselves ? I don't think babies are supposed to lose feathers this age. Could be mites, ticks or he's bored.Does he have a lot of toys and do you play with him ?

He scratch them with his claws and they fall off but not the new ones, the ones that are suposed to fell (i dont remember the name, but you know those fluffy feathers that babies have). He doesn't have toys yet, I only bought something that he scratches with his bick, he's not in a cage I leave him free in my bedroom :P

He doesn't have a cage ? Do you have any wires in your room ? Be careful when you go to sleep as they would hide in the bed and when you would go to sleep they would suffocate if you go on top of them. That happened to my friends pearly conure :( she had only a t stand where she wold put her on top of and in the night she hopped onto the bed and got suffocated. I would get her some foot toys of her while your at school

My bed is too high, besides I "lock" him inside that nest in the night With a little hole because if he screams I will hear, and see what's hapening. In my room I covered the "things where you plug wires into".... He doesn't like the cage, he starts screaming and biting and he looks at me with those eyes "take me out of here pleaaaaase"... Im weak

Had the same problem with baby Pepsi , he hated his cage and was a complete snuggle bug. What I did is that I put his favorite treat inside they're . As if you let him not go in the cage when he grows up where will you put him ? I don't think Zazu will be able to fit in his baby crib. Put his favorite things inside and play with him while he is in the cage so he can relate the cage to good things .

Sonia- birds are like children- if you don't teach them who's boss, they will make the rules. For your birds safety, you have to get a cage. If he's out most of the day, then a medium size one would be fine, there are plenty of used cages on the web...not sure if your familiar with the Kijiji web site. If you buy used, it MUST be clean, no poop of any kind, on the bars, on the tray...remember to pull out the tray and look underneath. Clean i and scrub it thoroughly when u bring it home. Also make sure the cage has not been kept in a garage or outside...it could contain mites, spider eggs, fleas, or any other outdoor bugs you don't want your bird associated with. Even if you wash it, it may not come totally clean.
Your bird sounds frustrated, and possibly bored...no offence! :)You have very good intensions with him, you just have to take one day at a time with him.
I have a crimson conure and I don't let him out until he calms down and is quiet, then I let him out so I can get my kisses, he gets his scratches, and then I place him on top of the cage to play. If he flies off himself, I will bring him back on my finger, then I put him on top of the cage. Birds need rules and training, you have to let them know what is and isn't allowed. He is a challenging bird for me, so I am learning as well....aren't we all???

eheheheh he seems like a disobedient puppy, and when I'm on the phone omg it's awfull he screams until I give him attention :P I guess I have to teach him some rules I just don't know how :S If I tell him "NO" with a strong bad voice will he understand that he's doing wrong, or he will be scared for life? Besides I already have a cage, not very big but it's just for a little while because I haven't decide myself where I will put it :P He doens't give a crap about toys or shiny things or noisy stuff with little pieces... Ive tried he only likes to be around people who talk with him and pet him... he even closes his eyes when I scratch his little head and when I stop... WHERE IT COMES THE SCREAMING AGAIN

All birdies scream , it's cute when they are little balls of feathers and fluff but wow does it get ANNOYING when they are adults.

Have any other questions ? also WHERE ARE THE PICTURES ! I'm getting kind of restless . Have made any progress with the cage ? You know he would love a swing ! Just perch him on their and swing it for him ! Also when you do your cage training leave the door open so he doesn't feel trapped

I can't find the cable to upload them besides I haven't had the time, he's a messy bird and requires constant attention when I'm at home... I even study with him hiding in my neck or when I'm in the computer he loves to be sitting next to the fan (the one that blows hot air)... looking me in the eyes... I always take him out of there because he could get a cold but he escapes to the same place when Im distracted

Awww, he sounds like a sweet heart ! Maybe he won't turn out like Pepsi and sprite !
