Pritti (Cherry-Head Conure) -- Fly in Peace my beautiful boy. Forever I'll love you.
It's basically a plastic ball that is put over a parrot's head during grooming. Parrots and props.com - Beak Bubble

It's horrifying for me to look at the photos. Maybe I'm just squeamish, because the birds don't appear to be unsettled. What do you think is better, this thing or toweling for grooming? Don't want to post the photo without permission, so please see link.

It's absolutely ridiculous. It looks like the parrot version of "silence of the lambs". :D lol, it says to put it on your bird when around small children! LMAO! That would give a child nightmares for years. The only way that would be acceptable if the bird were trained to say "hello Clairesssssse"!

Hah! Do they make those for dogs? I know of a shihtzu/poodle that HATES hair cuts. Turns into a piranha.

It seems a little bizarre, but it is certainly no worse than a towel! I think it would be great for DHs IRN, Tiki... I do her nails, and it's always a little scary, because she would just as soon kill me for wrapping her in the towel. I LIKE the idea of just keeping her beak at a safe distance. :)

Clariiiiiisssssse......has the dremmel stopped grinding?

Yeah right!

If you think toweling is hard, try putting that cage over your bird's head... Watch your fingers!

My GW absolutely DOES NOT bite. Try and put one of those things on her head, and I believe she would!

And if the bird IS tame enough to put one of these over it's head, then you obviously don't need it.

Better bet, just train the bird not to bite!

The bird would have to be toweled to put the thing on. I see where it could be used for something in an emergency, it's just looks so stupid I can't stop laughing.

To be quite honest, looking at her story, she sounds like a hoarder. She doesn't make toys either, only 'props' that have to be taught. Wonder if she gives them toys - based on the only pic, doesn't really look like it.

If you read her Bio it says she collects birds...like my Nana collected stamps...what is wrong with people. I get lots of bites for birds so i make a muzzle for them so they don't bite...Almost sounds like cruelty to me. If I even tried to get near my birds with one of those they would freak

They're cool props though...

I actually LIKE her props.

I've never liked the beak bubble since I first saw it a year and a half ago. What I do like is the references in this thread hahahaha
