Ah, the terror of the first meeting, broken quarantine aside! My birds all came from the same breeder at the same time, but I have had to deal with Quarantine in the past. I did not, however, plan to just introduce the dog to the birds all willy-nilly. I came home from a meeting one night to see my husband (bless his heart) lighting candles with the conure on his shoulder, the dog on the couch, and noodles boiling on the stove! He had cleaned the house and was preparing for a "romantic evening" and incorporating my lovely pets! I looked at him and said "I can't decide whether to kiss you or kill you. I think I will kiss you but don't you EVER do this again!" and explained all the potential death involved.
