So, JoJo is doing well. A real PIA hormonal fluff of feathers!
I got bored and went back to work after a three year vacation!
Went from being an IBM systems engineer to, a Costco maintenance engineer!
As in slinging garbage, toilets, puke and so on.
I actually love it! When they first hired me, they brought me in for doing contracts and working directly with members. Three days after the store was opened, they were in serious trouble, maintenance wise, and asked if I could help. I love it! I have gone from almost 190 pounds down to 150 pounds And I average about 7 1/2 miles a day walking.

Great to hear from you @Flboy, so happy that everything is well with you. Please don't make it so long in between visits in future, ok? Cos we've missed you!!

Some of those dirty-sounding jobs can be surprisingly peaceful. I've had a couple of overnight cashier jobs where I had to spend a lot of time cleaning. It was actually the most relaxing part.

Welcome back! I agree with LaManuka, we've missed you around here.

My dad was an IBM engineer for 29 years, and got pushed out back when they were big on getting rid of higher paid guys and hiring kids right out of school. Sort of a pressured early retirement. He did similar to you and after some time off, worked at Sam's Club for a while on the floor, mostly in computers and whatever electronics they had at the time. Something to do, no pressure, he enjoyed it.
