I purchased a Macaw cage recently 8/19/26. I bought from Cages for less and ended up loosing more than $2800 because it is impossible to ship back due to it's poor materials. The square tubing is so this there are several welds that have burn through leaving a hole. and the this material will bend when the cage is rolled around dropping the casters. This cage is impossible to assemble because the parts don't fit together.I have sold cages professionally and this one is just junk.

That’s unfortunate.
But you know 90% of the cages sold in the US are imported from China.
The company you order it from can’t really control quality.

I think there is one manufacturer in the US that makes stainless steel cages of high quality.
But you’ll pay 3X the price of the imported ones.
In the end you get what you pay for.

I’m sorry this didn’t work out for you, even “cheap” cages aren’t so cheap anymore.

You can look for used cages on Facebook marketplace or Creags list (sorry I can’t spell). You can sometimes find good deals but you may have to compromise.
Not the right color, a little too big/small.
But you have to watch out for rust and repainted cages that aren’t safe.

I ordered a cage through Amazon just weeks ago and it’s sitting in its boxes in a garage.
It’s not ready to be used (it will be months most likely) so I have to hope it’s in good condition.
