I just remembered. This with my first CAG. I planned a trip to Vegas. A dog and bird sitter recommended by my vet was hired. His policy was to come by two weeks before for visitation, learning and introduction. My CAG took one look and went into attack on sight mode. This CAG went to vet with out much protest. He went on outings, no problem. We traveled around country, motel and hotel, army bases for years no problems. The sitter said no to the bird. I couldn't locate another sitter without risk of repeat. So I took CAG with me. Smuggled in with luggage. I asked to speak with manager. I informed him that I had a paranoid schizophrenic individual with me. Under no circumstance to enter room without my presence. No problem that trip. I did reading after trip. Discovered that this isn't uncommon behavior boarding in or out. I considered myself lucky that nearly all my trips are by car and to relatives. So pets are tolerated if not welcomed.
