How often have you replaced your bird's cage? I'm thinking of replacing my Conure's cage. I 've had her for about ten years and only replaced her cage once. I did a deep cleaning of her cage a couple times. Once after boarding her about a week when traveling and once when she stayed with the Vet for three days. It was a good time to do a deep cleaning of the cage.

Its long over due. However it might be nice to put her in a temporary cage. Please, any ideas are welcome?

It's always good to have a back up cage even if it's one of those collapsible travel cages.
You can get one on Amazon for about $50. I imagine her cage is pretty dirty if you've only deep cleaned it a few times. I hate deep cleaning cages especially when the birds that live in it need to be physically removed like some of my wilder budgies but it must be done. I don't do their cage nearly enough.
Do you like the cage she has (when it's clean)? If so, just clean it and get a travel cage. If not, buy her a new palace, but not because it's dirty!
