Can Green Cheeks have Starburst candy?

My Green Cheek Conure Drago almost grabbed a mini Starburst but I took it from him, so that got me thinking if it would be harmful to him if he ate it?

Not a good thing! Think of the Sugar Hit your Parrot would have to deal with both physically and mentally!

I don't think it would be a good idea. My husband used to give our sun a tiny peice on granola bar and it eventually gave him a yeast infection under his wings.

I don't think it would be fatal, but so much refined sugar, preservatives, artificial colors/flavors etc... in such a concentrated form could possibly make him sick to his stomach. There is no need to give your bird a candy. I'm sure he'd be just as happy with a raisin or other piece of (no sugar added, un-sulfered) dried fruit

Yeah I wouldn't do it, you might look around for something like this something thats 100% fruit.

You can get those at any pet store. I call them clark's gummies. It's his treat when he's a good boy.

A little raisin or piece of less offered fruit would be a better option as a little treat. Or a much sought after sunflower seed
