So I just adopted Mickey our umbrella too a few days ago, his poo is colored which Im assuming is from his pellets...but it sort of looks stringy as well....He was checked by an exotic vet before he came home to me and they said everything was PERFECT with him.......is this normal???

My conure eats colored pellets and does poop different colors. She tends to eat all the orange ones first and then her first poop of the day had orange in it. And she has red poops from eating the red pellets.

The pellets can definitely make them poo rainbows.
He might be a little stressed from the move, so the poo might be a little different at first until he settles down.

wait till you feed mickey a black cherry!!! lol but keep an eye on the poop

water parts clear, though may not always show depending on how much the bird drinks or water its getting from food

solid, colour tends to go with what they've eaten

and then the white bit

but nut sometimes will just drop solid or liquid etc, if odd poops continue, that you cannot relate to what your birds eaten, then vets

Amiogo's pellets aren't flavored with different colors, they are all the same natural color. I did notice that once I got him to start eating them, albeit, the only way has been for me to grind them and put them in his oatmeal, his poops got stringer...not always, usually a little after his morning and evening feeds. In between they look more like normal.
