He is said to have found parrots interesting, I cannot find the quote, for the life of me, buttt...
I have heard that he said that...
"Parrots make the worst soldiers in the world."

Yeah.

I read a quote from a book about the antics of rich people in the Hampton…this was a story about the annual Paul Simon concert in 1994. The warm-up act was Jimmy Buffet, and Colin
Powell was seen singing and dancing while wearing a hat with a “stuffed parrot” on it. I’m sure it wasn’t a real parrot. The author swears that yes, Colin Powell was a parrothead.
