Considering an Eclectus

After doing some research, I have decided that I will look into a male SI eclectus

I was debating between these guys and a white belly caique. After interacting with both, I think the eclectus is a better fit, despite how hilarious caiques are!

I will be looking into a breeder in Canada around Quebec and Ontario. If anyone has suggestions of breeders, please let me know. While I do not plan on getting a bird for another few months, I would like to at least get to know the local breeders and communicate with them about their babies and what I'm looking for.

General comment about adopting:

If adopting a bird, make sure you research all of the hidden sources of Teflon/Ptfoa/ptfe and other fumes (cleaners, nail polish, hairspray, candles etc) that can kill birds. If it has a smell, don't use it (for the most part) and if it contains Teflon (even internally) and is heated, that can kill them without emitting any scent at all.



Also, make sure you have a place and time where the bird can get 10-12 hours of sleep nightly without being disturbed.
