Hi All.. I recently brought home a Jenday conure.:orange: It was 45 days old baby then.. Now it is almost 60 days old. I am hand feeding it with a Pet's life handfeeding formula (weaning food). I have fed only apple other than the weaning food. He/she was kept in a box with wood shavings when I brought home. I maintained in the same way for few days now that he has started flying for few feet, the baby doesn't wanna stay in the box anymore. It does all kind of drama to stay in my bed and stay in warm cozy area. Either on my shoulder or between pillows. He seems to be an intelligent one.
I was not able to sleep in last 3 days as the baby was flying to the bed and starts screaming if I do not give any comfortable place for him to sleep. if he poops & the area becomes wet, he immediately start to make noise and scratch my finger until I give another warm place for him to sleep. Can anyone please help, what would be the right way to handle him and what all food can I start providing at this stage? Please help me with the ways to take care of him so he & I can have better sleep at night.:orange:

I can't help you with the handfeeding, but you might get better response if you include "handfeeding" in your subject line.

Hi,
Please don't let him sleep in bed with you! We have had many people report the accidentally killing of their parrot this way.
Start offering lot of veggie, minced veggies, chopped veggies, cooked veggies, vraw veggies, small amount if cooked oatmeal, small amount scratches eggs, or boiled eggs, offer all the safe foods for parrots at different feeding. You can offer pellets mushed up in a little warm water.
