So I've got a male Gcc & a female lovebird. She's about 6yo now and he's only 1-2yo (forget).

Today I saw them grooming eachother! They've always hated one another!

It was the cutest thing.

Has anyone else ever had a conure & lovebird like eachother? She used to bite his toes and make him bleed!

Should I be concerned with them trying to breed? Can a conure & lovebird even make babies? The lovebird has always been very hormanonal in spring and I don't want her laying eggs tbh

So much can go wrong so quickly.... Your conure could rip your lovebirds beak off. They can't breed but it can stimulate the hen to lay.
My opinion... Keep them separate...

They're not living together. And I really doubt that a gcc could rip off the lovebirds beak.

But thanks, helpful.

Unfortunately they can. And it's happened before.

I have both as well but don't allow them out together.

Agreed. It's not worth the risk!
In saying that, I can have a 'too, an IRN and a 'tiel out at the same time. The IRN and 'tiel have a separate play stand, and the little two are flighted. The little ones can get into each others space, but if either is uncomfortable, they have a safe way out. Are your birds clipped?

It's not unheard of for a larger bird to literally rip off the smaller ones beak. Just be careful. Always supervise their play time together and always keep them in separate cages. Other than that, enjoy the fact that they seem to be becoming friends.
